The actions of successive Sri Lankan governments have led to today’s economic crisis in Sri Lanka, which has devastated the whole island. The Tamil homeland was already heavily affected economically due to the war and past sanctions from the Sri Lankan state. The post-war economic crisis has added to the already miserable situation. Still Tamils find creative ways to handle the crisis and to continue to live in dignity.
